Missouri State Government Central Switchboard
573-751-2000
Because we are located in the same city as the Missouri state capital, we receive many misdirected calls on a daily basis for MISSOURI STATE GOVERNMENT agencies. Therefore, their central switchboard number is listed here for your convenience. However, City government and State government are separate entities, and if you call any city office, we cannot forward calls to, or provide numbers for, state agencies.
If you have questions about how to obtain birth, death, or marriage records anywhere in Missouri, please see
this link for answers.
If you wish to look up other state government numbers yourself, please go to the Missouri State Government Website. If you still have a question about which agency can handle your inquiry, please see the LIST of phone numbers showing various city, county, state, and other local entities. You may wish to print this list to keep as a reference tool.
The Office of Cole County Recorder of Deeds handles issuance of marriage licenses within Cole County, and has graciously consented to allow us to publish their MARRIAGE BROCHURE that explains how to apply for a marriage license. Simply print it out to use as your guide when obtaining your marriage license.
